Create your menu

It is imperative to create a menu before you go to the grocery store this will save time and money. But how do I make one if I have limited time? The easiest thing to do (which is what I do) is create a base menu where to consult from. But how do I do that?? Here are some easy steps to menu creations, if you follow this you will always have a base for your menus.


Step 1:  Always think in fours 
  1.  breakfast
  2. lunch 
  3. dinner 
  4. snacks (this one you will need 2-3)
Step two: make the outline 

Remember that this menu is a guide don't torture your self with specifics, Example:

Monday:
  1. Breakfast: Fruit salad
  2. Lunch: Soup
  3. Dinner: Salad 
  4. fruit smoothie, 2 fruit servings 
 Then continue with other days and make sure to mix it up, you do not want to eat out any day because of cravings. Find the things that make you tick... If you are on a Detox diet (alkaline based diet) make sure to include toppings or vegetables to your list, even when you don't think you will use them. I can assure you you will.

Making a menu will make you crave what you have at home instead of falling for the fact that you have that restaurant on the way home. It will also help you pre-make your meals and save a ton of time. If you are on detox (like me) this is a must
  

Step 3: Look for your deals in your own area!!!  

I live in Florida, fruits and vegetables are very inexpensive but if your on a budget this can help you to never over buy at the supermarket. So before refining your menu look for what is on sale and what you can afford and then compare that with your menu. That is when things get specific...
