Healthy Ice cream???!!!!


An ice cream you don't have to worry about?? YES PLEASE!


I have a very bad sweet tooth so when i started to detox things like chocolate, milk and bread were my main concerns. Even though I don't detox 100% at least i have incorporated more healthy options to my diet and I tell you they are worth it!

Lets get down to business. You know those bananas nobody wants (except me) because they are brown and too ripe? Those are the perfect base to your ice cream, these are extra sweet and easier to mush if you don't have a Vita-mix (like me). If you don't have any bananas like this but you still want to make the recipe you can make it with regular yellow bananas just make sure to add a date or a sweet fruit to your ice cream.

Things you need

You can make this recipe in a blender, food processor (my favorite tool), a magic bullet or nutri-bullet.
baking sheet (or any long bowl)

Ingredients:

3-4 BANANAS.... That's it.


Directions:


  • Slice the bananas 
  • put them on the baking sheet or bowl
    • make sure they are not on top of each other this will help you not having to force them apart.
  • place them in your freezer for about 1 hour (that's the hard part)
  • with all the finest you can TROW them in your blender/food processor
  • Blend them until creamy 
    • if you are using a blender you should add some unfrozen bananas first this will allow your blender to cope with the frozen ones. in a food processor this is not necessary just pulse until you get your consistency. 
Variations:

Any fresh fruit you like.... yes it can be ice cream, me in particular I absolute love strawberries so that's my go to fruit but  just remember: Don't mix melons with any other fruit.
"Eat melons alone or leave them alone" 

Make toppings:
dates with coconut shreds is my favorite topping  just put that in the food processor and pulse...
